I’ve heard some recent chatter about proposed tax legislation from some of the cash strapped states that would directly affect the trucking and warehousing industry. Pennsylvania’s governor is proposing a sales tax on trucking, warehousing, and other services. I’ve already received an email asking for people to condemn it. Their logic is that will hurt businesses in Pennsylvania and that other states who are suffering from lack of capital would also try to follow suit. I’d like to hear your commentary on legislation in your states and how it is or would affect your current business. I’d also like to hear from any Californians in the refrigerated truck business and how they are coping with the new legislations in their industry.
